As the week of primeurs 2021 drew to a close at the end of April, here’s a sneak preview of our Château Marquis de Terme 2021 as seen through the eyes of leading international critics.

“Depth and density, a beautiful purity of fruit (crushed strawberry) signed by a certain sweetness can be discerned. The palate is remarkably precise, very long and infused, with the juiciness of a ripe black cherry, impeccable support for the tannic architecture and good freshness that accompanies the whole, right through to the delicately bitter, salivating finish.”

On the palate, there’s a lovely fluid texture at first, which gains substance and makes you want to lick the inside of the mouth with your tongue, accompanying remarkably elegant fruity and floral notes. A level of sophistication that shows that the gradual evolution of this cru in recent years is a groundwork that has its effect, even in a more difficult vintage.”

I look forward to re-tasting this in bottle because this is the best wine from the estate I’ve tasted in many years.”
