Château Marquis de Terme

Our first wine is made by 39 hectares of thick gravel rich in quartz and quartzites. This terroir allows the Cabernet Sauvignon, the main grape variety, to give the best of itself. It represents 60% of the cuvée.

  • Cabernet Sauvignon 60% 60%
  • Merlot 33% 33%
  • Petit verdot 7% 7%

9 de Marquis de Terme

Since 2012, we are producing a 999 bottles cuvée. Only the best grapes are selected, and the fermentation is in oak barrel. The wine is then matured in ovoid vats for almost a year. The entirely undergrowth vinification gives the wine a subtle woody side that does not alter the round and fruity side.

  • Cabernet Sauvignon 40% 40%
  • Merlot 60% 60%

The Crown of Marquis de Terme

This tender and harmonious wine is a pleasure to share with friends. Vinified in temperature-controlled concrete vats and aged for 16 to 18 months in oak barrels, 50% of which are new wood, making it a balanced, fresh and elegant wine.

  • Cabernet Sauvignon 40% 40%
  • Merlot 45% 45%
  • Petit verdot 15% 15%

The Marquis de Terme Rosé

Owners of Domaine de Lauzade in Côtes de Provence and Domaine de Val d’Arenc in Bandol, we have launched a rosé wine with Mediterranean accents that bears the Marquis de Terme signature. From the Garonne to Provence, the Marquis travels!
This original wine with a very pale colour offers a beautiful harmony between acidic freshness and suave roundness underlined by aromas of pears, raspberries and notes of pink berries. This versatile rosé wine can be enjoyed as an aperitif or with a meal.

  • Grenache 65% 65%
  • Cinsault 15% 15%
  • Tibouren 20% 20%

A local dandy

Did you know that Margaux takes its name from the very nature of its soil? The Gallic “margan” meaning “marly”. This exceptional terroir brings together the largest number of Grands Crus Classés thanks to its well-drained soils, where the wine can take root up to 5 meters and allow a good feeding during dry periods.

Marquis de Terme wines are the result of a work of listening and observation of nature. The harvest is sorted in the wines, then on the table before vatting the grapes by plot (plot vinification). Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled concrete vats before maturing in oak barrels for 16 to 18 months. Everything is thought out to obtain wines in the image of the Marquis de Terme: delicate, elegant, balanced and genuinely modern.

Modernity and openness

In order to obtain wines that today make Marquis de Terme reputation, we regularly question all of our methods. Our objective is to modernise our cellars and winemaking structures without denaturing the soil and by controlling our ecological footprint.

Our teams aimed at the same objective for Marquis de Terme wines : make them unique, to the image of the estate by giving them a touch of modernity.
